A public research university in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (also known as Mehran University or MUET) focuses on STEM education.
A campus of the University of Sindh was founded in July 1976, and a year later it was granted independent status. In the “5th Ranking of Pakistani Higher Education Institutions” published in 2016, it was ranked sixth in the higher education institutions’ engineering category.
The institution offers undergraduate programmes in seventeen different academic fields that lead to the bachelor’s degree. Fifteen bachelor degrees are being offered in discipline of engineering. The remaining two degrees are Bachelor of degrees in allied subjects other than engineering.. These include the Bachelor of City & Regional Planning and the Bachelor of Architecture.
