The University of Management and Technology (UMT) is a project of Institute of ILM – Leadership and Management Trust. ILM was founded in 1990 by leading educationists, professionals, and industrialists with an aim to improve the organizational and individual effectiveness. The University of Management and Technology one of Pakistan’s top private universities located in city of Lahore, Pakistan. UMT is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as a ‘W4’ category (highest rank) university. It is one of the top university in General Category (medium-sized) of private sector institutions in the Punjab according to HEC ranking. Further is named among the top 500 in QS Asia University Rankings in 2019.

The University of Management and Technology is an independent institution; not-for-profit, private institution of higher education . it’s a chartered university, Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan upgraded the category of UMT to ‘Category W’.
