The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (commonly abbreviated as GIKI) is a private research university in Topi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The institute has a 400-acre (1.6-kilometer-square) campus in Swabi District.

Ghulam Ishaq Khan, the former President of Pakistan, founded it in 1993. Since its inception, the institute has consistently attracted the country’s most influential scientists, including Abdul Qadeer Khan, Asghar Qadir, and Shaukat Hameed Khan, who have contributed to the institute’s status as one of the world’s finest science and engineering colleges. GIKI is known as a competitive institution with a low acceptance rate, requiring students to demonstrate exceptional academic excellence and capabilities as well as strong financial standing.

The university is located beside the Indus River in the mountains of Tarbela and Gadoon-Amazai, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa near the town of Topi, and close to the Tarbela Dam (the world’s largest earth-filled dam) and Ghazi lakes.  Its campus is located in the mountains of Tarbela and Gadoon-Amazai and is a residential campus with student housing.

The Higher Education Commission ranks GIK as one of the top institutions (HEC). The GIK Institute began with 120 students in 1993 and now has over 2,000. There were only five disciplines in 1993, and there was no graduate programme. There are now 11 disciplines.
