The University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore is a public university in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan that focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The main campus of the University of Engineering and Technology is located in the northern section of Lahore, along the historic “Grand Trunk Road (G.T. Road), near the famous Shalimar Gardens, which were established during the Mughal Empire It is Pakistan’s oldest and one of the most selective engineering institutions. The institution started its career in 1921 as the Mughalpura Technical College.
It offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in a wide range of engineering disciplines. UET is a state university with a student body of nearly 9000 people. UET is divided into six faculties, with a total of 23 academic departments.
Today, it is widely regarded as Pakistan’s best and most prestigious engineering university, with over 50,000 students applying for admission each year.
