DCD is a dental school in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It’s close to the Badshahi Masjid. Former Punjab Governor Sir Geoffrey Fitzhervey de Montmorency, who served till the early 1930s, is the namesake of the college. For years, it has regularly been the highest merit institution in terms of new student enrolment.
The de’Montmorency College of Dentistry is located on Fort Road in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, and is bordered to the north by the famous Badshahi Mosque. It is Pakistan’s primary and main dental institute, and it has nourished many of the country’s later dental teaching institutes. It primarily serves the city of Lahore and its neighbouring areas with dental health services.
To keep up with the latest technology, the most up-to-date equipment and instruments are continually introduced to keep educational levels in line with worldwide standards. Existing departments are being improved, as well as new departments being created. Students rotate among various departments within the field of dentistry throughout their third year of practical training in clinics.
It enrols a hundred students in its four-year BDS programme each year. It is associated with the Punjab Dental Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of Health and Sciences. The Sports committee and the DDLS (de’Montmorency debate and literacy society) are two active societies. The Sports Committee is the college’s Student Council. Prof.Dr. Waheed-ul-Hamid is the college’s current principal.
