The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences is a public medical university located in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan.Its purpose has been to offer new breakthroughs to medical education and to prepare undergraduate and postgraduate students to the highest professional standards since its inception as a medical school. It’s in collaboration with Liaquat University Hospital and NIMRA Cancer Hospital in Liaquat. HEC has put the university among the best medical schools.

LUMHS is Pakistan’s second-oldest medical school and Sindh’s oldest. Every year, approximately 350 medical students graduate, practicing medicine in their various districts or pursuing postgraduate study. In 2021, the university will open Pakistan’s first cancer research facility. The University’s neurosurgery department also completed the first endoscopic discectomy procedure in any public sector hospital in Sindh.
